DIR is the Developmental, Individual-differences, & Relationship-based model that helps one to understand a child’s development and provide support and intervention that help them reach their fullest potential. The DIR® model is also a framework that helps one conduct a comprehensive assessment and develop an intervention program that is personalised to the unique challenges and strengths of each child.
Floortime (also known as DIRFloortime) is an intervention that helps promote an individual’s development through a playful, fun approach. It uses relationships and human connections to encourage engagement, communication, positive behaviours, and thinking. It is an evidence-based approach that is used with children, young adults, and even adults, especially those on the autism spectrum.
“Kris-Ann has the ability to address problem areas in a child’s development without forcing them and by making them feel empowered. My daughter has a huge smile on her face when she knows she will see Kris-Ann and never wants to leave once a session is over. We have seen a huge improvement in core strength, her sensitivities and most of all her confidence.”

“It is so much fun to play at Kris-Ann’s. I want to play there every day. The best part of the class is – everything!”
